Ok here we go. This week the Governer signed the side show bill SB1489 to extend the old law that was brought about in Oakland to cover a lie by the Oakland PD.

Now one of the things that I find so disturbing about this bill is that "sideshowing" has no definition according to the law...It is just up to the officer to define the offence.
Now those of you who know me know I have no problem with Hyphy's getting busted, but this allows the drifters to be lumped into this crowd. This bill allows the police to take our property without due process as stated in the above link.
I truly hope this does not make it tougher to set up legal events.

Im so fucking tired of this bullshit. I agree that there is a difference between us and the hyphy people and I don't think we should be lumped in either. But it's because of fucktards who watched tokyo drift and think it's ok to drift on populated streets who helped lump us in. The real drifters have some common sense... at least enough to make sure they dont endanger anyone else by doing it on back roads and non populated area's. We take it a step further by making sure there is a spotter to stop us if any traffic is coming our way.

What pisses me off the most is people are being raped, pillaged and plundered while they are fucking with us... lets think about this for a second. We purposly went to an area that is out of the way, not full of traffic and at a time when 99% of the public won't be there. But we still get fucked with. GIVE US A DAM TRACK WE CAN DO THIS AT IF YOU WANT TO HELP THIS SITUATION. Punk ass money grubbing politicians and law makers.

Indeed! Googleing the bill gave some interesting info. The law started because Oakland PD pursued someone doing dohnuts they ran a stop sign and hit another car killing the driver. Oakland police are not supposed to engauge in high speed pursuits with non feloney offenders. This accident had nothing to do with sideshowing, but failure to comply with department policy on the Oakland PD part.
Governer Schwarzengger was sold a "bill of goods" because the bill was represented as a way to fight gang activity. Um how many gang fights have we seen out there?

I agree with the spotter thing. Just need to make sure somones always watching. I also think the new/old "bill" is bullshit. No one dies when were out we we do things, they die when there in residence's, and placds were it is highly populated, not in the boonies. But im game to bring the "eyes" out of comission!!

If you guys remember though, the night Veni got pulled over when me and him pulled out of the parking lot and got blurped by the CHP. On the ticket the notes that he gave Veni a verbal warning about "sideshow" I think it ridiculous, and cops are given way to much power
