Because we suck... pure and simple. We have the space to make a track and there is facility that we could use as a track. But rather than give us a track to do it legally they would rather use that money on hair brain schemes which only put's money into other rich people's pockets.

Not to mention almost all forms of U.S. racing look down on drifting as a legitimate form of motorsports. Which is why Formula 1 and other serious racing organizations don't come here very often to race. We would rather go in a circle 500 times with a big ass death wall at the very edge of the track. Unlike other countries which have badass road courses with run off room on the side of the track.

Sacramento is a TURD! shit.gif Obviously, our government officials have never seen Field of Dreams..."if you built it, they will come." What we would have to do to make this work:

1) Get the land (we have it) in the middle of fucking nowhere (also, got it, right Rancho Cordova?) $$$
2) Private funding $$$$$$$
3) Grand stands and maybe lighting $$$
4) Insurance $$$$$
5) Advertising $
6) Permits $$$

What the people in charge have to realize is that, we are not doing this to get rich, just improve our quality of life through entertainment value. All the income that is generated through this "Drift Land" will be recirculated back into the community and it's governing bodies after a small portion of money is taken off the top to pay back items 1-6. Money could also go towards those NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) rant.gif people that will eventually live all around the park in years to come and will naturally complain about the noise, like they do in Sonoma, CA. And, because it's California, you have to appease all those concerned about enviromental impact. Maybe, we can convince Keiichi Tsuchiya to run for Governor, that may be easier. hmmm.gif
