LOL I have not had to ban anyone from my forums, you would have to piss me off something feirce to get banned.
Or me... but yeah. It'd take a WHOLE lot of stupid/assholishness to get banned here.
EDIT:
In any case, here's the back story to why I've 'finally' gotten around to doing this distributor swap.
This last saturday (as rob knows) I ended up getting an exhaust leak. What I thought was a simple gasket turned out to be the piping on my almost brand new cat-conv from Magnaflow splitting apart, I don't understand how it got stressed enough to do so, but it did. Over 360 degrees of split around the piping & weld, spaced about 3/4" apart, crazy isn't it? Anyways, I take it off and drop it off to jon sunday who's going to weld it up for me.
I figure at this point I might as well install my header/flexpipe so I don't run into this again, and run my old cat conv. To change the header on my car you have to remove the distributor. I remove it, and as I always do I spin the rotor/dist shaft & gear. Well, 'lo & behold it's siezed and wont turn. Turns out saturday night I must have killed the distributor bearing and when it cooled down after failing; which probably was not too far from home, maybe even coming down the driveway, it completely siezed.
So I remember that sometime before this last november I picked up a MR-2 distributor during one of the junkyard runs to try out/compare to see if it'll work. I head off to the parts store to grab a dist cap & rotor. Pop the thing in with a new o-ring and it works.
