Well, as some of you know, and most of you don't. This last sunday 12/3 at about 8:20pm I was hit by a motorcycle - hard. Fortunately the way it happened did minimal damage to me, but I'm really not happy about it. Unfortunately it really hurt the people on the bike, how much I don't know yet. I'm hoping they got really lucky.

I really expected with the way I've been learning and improving that i'd take the car out myself, at the track, probably above 70mph into a wall. Instead I get hit on the way home to take a shower from what was a good day at the junkyard. I wish it had been at the track, at least then I'd know why it happened.

It's done a ton of damage and my car is not salvagable, but many of the parts are. I'm currently searching for a new one.

Here's a few pics of the damage (and let me tell you this, the pictures don't even come close to showing how bad the damage really is.)

If you look at the grey area, thats because I was hit so hard it caused the sound deading/tar to pop right off the floor.

The car basically folded over from the hit, pinched my door closed and it has to be hit from the inside to get it open if it's shut all the way.

You can't really tell super well in this pic, but the lower control arm mount & traction bracket are bent over and twisted at about a 45 degree angle and the inside of the rim is missing a chunk or two.

More damage pics.

Want to touch the floor? rant.gif

Dunno exactly how it did it, but the inside of my rim broke...

Also mangled my diff housing rr lower mount, traction bracket, brake caliper hardware (bushings/bolts) and e-brake cable.

Rear of the car is torn from the passenger side floorboard...

All the way to the drivers side.
