interesting.... i like it... similar to pulling the fuse, but also with the shims, keeps it from being able to flex under load... i'll have to make a set soon... peice of cake... hey rob, did you happen to have a chance to talk to the guy about that diff?

It eleminates Nissan's rear wheel steering system. It's computer controlled and makes driving their cars at the absolute limit harder because it may not do what you want it to do.

the hicas help get that elephant of a z around the corners a bit better by turning the rear wheels... 4 wheel steering... i love it, but it makes drifting somewhat of a challenge with the tires turning from side to side in the rear... its only 1.5 degrees max i believe, but its enough to ruin a drift and put you into a curb...

Indeed! Works great for grip driving, however once the suspension is tuned most drivers tend to dislike the HICAS simply for the fact that it does change the steering of car. This is not a welcomed addition while drifting since everything we do while drifting is centered around the car being 100% predictable.

Yeah, about that curb. Add a pole to the equation
I ked, I ked... Anyways, with properly setup suspension you don't need the hicas to get around corners. It would just be a matter of the driver setting up up the turn correctly... like how I hit that first turn on enduro day @ my first auto-x.
