Slow RB vert build

Here is my vert build...
slowly building up my car when i have time to work on it
and when i have money.
92 vert that was KA-t.
when i got it it was complete shit. leaves on the carpet ,Top ripped
seats smell. etc..
here is the first owner:


then it got to them destructive kids in SAC and looked like this:



Changed wheels and a "wash"...pignose vert.. angry.gif

Then i started my project: tore all the inside shit out and sold the stock seats.

Sold the motor and bought a new one.
RB20 for now :


cleaned the bay...and resprayed it

replaced cluster that didnt work with a HUD one.

I forgot to take some pics but i changed the thermostat and cleaned the water pump up a bit

Thank god you're using mounts and not the stupid cross-member swap! As cheap as the Ruckus and McKinney basic mount kits are now, there is no reason not to get mounts that sit the motor correctly in the car.

Looking good so far, just don't cheap out on anything now that you have the car torn down. You don't want to do things twice.

finally dropped the motor in


And somehow i didnt see this before but i think the bellhousing metal plate might be messed up because i can clearly see the innerside of my flywheel.
what am i to do??

Just looks like the dust cover got bent, you can bang it back flat or use some bolts thru the bell housing to straighten it back out.

well what i was meaning was everything in the red is my flywheel...wouldnt you want that pertected a little better like the ka one.

Ahh, ok I didn't notice the hole the first time I looked at the pic. I thought it was just bent lol. You can just some sheet metal, cut it to shape and epoxy it on to cover that hole up. Other wise its pull the tranny and flywheel to put another cover on.

EDIT:found out could have been the "white bunny mod"
D21 Truck Flywheel
Nissan 280Z Turbo/Z31 300zx/any Nissan clutch disc

the flywheel would rub on the metal plate

decided to do a little DIY project with my carpet
used a windex spray bottle to apply the dye mixed with hot water and salt

what color it use to be

disgusting

Looks pretty good in the pics. Hopefully this won't ever rub off on your clothes when its raining outside.
