Well the fucking Sony/BMG music group pulled some bullshit with the new Digital Rights Managment software on their Cd's. From the way I read it the Cd's install software on your computer that imbed's, cloaks and delivers information to them disguised as regular windows processes. This shit pisses me off, in an effort to stop pirating their cd's they pull this shit, if they want to stop the pirating then offer the Cd's at a reasonable price... I mean come on, it cost them $0.63 cents to make an entire Cd, case, label and all, then they turn around and sell it for $20??!?!?! Most music labels have dropped the price to around $10 or so which in my opinion is about where it needs to be. But to install malicious software?! That is just plain rediculous for a legit company to do!

Another bad part about it is how does the software know that ur pirating it and not just playing/archiving it for legit reasons? I don't know how many of my older Cd's I have ripped and put to mp3 cd's for the fact that I was tearing the master copies up by transporting and playing them in my car. So would i be infected for doing something that is legal to do? The other side to this is when it is installed and uncloaked using their uncloaking software patch, you run the risk of corrupting your system because of the it unloads it self while windows it running. emthdown.gif This is just plain rediculous!

Check here to see if you have any of the known cd's to have this software, this link will also give u info on how to detect and remove the software, but at your own risk, since like i said the uninstall may crash your O.S.
